Discord bot
Every current command, in one place.
Type /timecapsule in Discord and select a
subcommand. Options such as id, user,
and reason appear as Discord form fields—not as
text you must memorize.
How slash commands work
Run a command in three steps.
-
Open Discord’s command picker
Input: In an allowed server channel, type
/timecapsule.Expected result: Discord lists the current subcommands below.
-
Select the action and fill its fields
Input: Choose a subcommand. Complete every field marked Required; optional fields may be left blank.
Expected result: Discord shows a complete command preview. Autocomplete offers eligible capsule codes where supported.
-
Send and follow the private controls
Input: Press Enter or Send, then use any menus, modals, or buttons returned by Time Capsule.
Expected result: Most management flows reply privately. If access or configuration is missing, the response explains the required permission or next step.
Member commands
Create and manage your capsules.
/timecapsule compose
Opens the private composer: release type, content and files, anonymity, one human recipient plus a DM-or-channel delivery route, preview, and sealing. Plus types load only when the server has Plus. The upload panel shows server file-count, per-file size, and remaining-slot limits. A successful Seal time capsule confirmation turns green, disables sealing, offers Details, and changes Preview to Exit; Exit deletes only the ephemeral composer message.
- Input
- No slash-command fields
- Access
- Members allowed by server policy
- Output
- Private guided composer
/timecapsule list
Shows caller-authored capsules only. The first five entries show their stable capsule ID and receive button rows: Details, Edit, Pause/Resume, Delete, and Unlock. When member editing is enabled, Edit can issue a short-lived one-time portal link to a capsule-only page; otherwise it says Edits disabled. Delete/Unlock ask for confirmation.
- Input
- No fields
- Access
- Signed-in caller; not a manager-wide list
- Output
- Private list; buttons on the first five entries
/timecapsule update
Shows the first 25 eligible locked capsules authored by the caller. The modal edits optional title (100), required message (1900), unlock time, and delivery channel ID/mention only—not recipient, DM/channel mode, files, anonymity, or condition.
- Input
- Choose in the returned picker, then complete the limited form
- Access
- Original author only
- Output
- Private picker and update result
/timecapsule delete id:CAPSULE-CODE
Deletes the selected scheduled capsule immediately after authorization; there is no separate confirmation. Autocomplete lists caller-authored capsules, while an authorized manager may manually enter another eligible code.
- Required
id— capsule code- Access
- Eligible creator or authorized manager
- Output
- Private deletion result
/timecapsule unlock id:CAPSULE-CODE
Irreversibly starts immediate delivery after authorization; there is no separate confirmation. Autocomplete lists caller-authored capsules, while an authorized manager may manually enter another eligible code.
- Required
id— capsule code- Access
- Eligible creator or authorized manager
- Output
