Server owners and billing owners
Manage access at its billing source.
First identify the selected server’s tier and Access source. Stripe, Discord-native, and support-managed entitlements have different management and cancellation routes.
Review access
Confirm what the server has and why.
-
Open the selected server’s billing page
Input: Sign in to the moderator portal, choose the server, and open Plan & billing.
Expected result: The plan header identifies Free, Premium, or Premium + custom branding and shows whether access came from Stripe, Discord, support-managed billing, or an override.
-
Read every entitlement
Input: Review the Entitlements list before choosing a product.
Expected result: A check marks active capabilities; an X identifies a required plan/add-on. Core Plus, self-host, and custom-branding access remain distinguishable.
-
Confirm the billing owner
Input: If management controls are missing, verify whether your signed-in Discord account owns the subscription and still has server-management access.
Expected result: An authorized owner sees the controls for the access source. A billing-only owner may need server-management access from the owner or support.
/timecapsule version
/timecapsule version is a read-only cross-check: it
reports bot version/build/changelog plus tier, subscription
status. It does not expose the internal billing source or portal
management controls.
Feature comparison
Compare Free, Plus, and Self-host.
Plus and Self-host include the same premium bot capabilities. Self-host additionally grants deployment rights for your own infrastructure. Custom branding is a separate, additional-cost add-on and is never included automatically with either plan.

Custom branding costs extra: Purchase the compatible branding add-on after Plus or Self-host access is active. Temporary platform maintenance can still make an otherwise entitled feature unavailable.
Purchase or add access
Use the available Web or Discord route.
-
Open plan options
Input: Choose Manage Plan, then select Plus, self-host, or an eligible custom-branding add-on.
Expected result: The sheet shows available Web and Discord purchase channels, current campaign pricing when active, and an explanation for any disabled/unconfigured route.
-
Choose the provider intentionally
Input: Choose Buy on web for secure Stripe Checkout or Buy in Discord for the configured Discord storefront.
Expected result: The selected provider owns the checkout and future management route. No successful purchase should be assumed until that provider confirms it.
-
Return and verify effective access
Input: Complete or cancel the provider flow, return to the same server’s Plan & billing page, and refresh.
Expected result: Tier, Access source, entitlements, renewal/invoice data when available, and management controls show the effective server state.
Discord purchase shortcut
/timecapsule upgrade product:Plus
Only the Discord server owner or a role approved in Time
Capsule’s management-role settings can use this command; Discord
may still require the server owner to complete a server
purchase. The optional product choice is
Plus or
Custom branding add-on. The private response
shows current access and the eligible Discord storefront
control; final pricing and promotion details come from Discord.
Manage an active subscription
Follow the source shown by the portal.
| Access source | Input | Expected behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Signed-in billing owner chooses Manage Billing | A secure Stripe billing-portal session opens and returns to this server’s billing page. |
| Discord-native | Use the Discord purchase/subscription settings route shown by Time Capsule | Discord owns plan management and cancellation. |
| Support-managed | Use the local plan controls or Contact support when instructed | Eligible local downgrade/transfer controls appear; otherwise support handles the request. |
| Override | Review the displayed source and contact support before changing anything | The portal avoids presenting an unrelated provider-management route. |
-
Open the current provider
Input: Use the control named for the source above.
Expected result: The provider or support-managed panel opens without granting unrelated server permissions.
-
Make one change and return
Input: Update the provider subscription, then return to the selected server’s billing page.
Expected result: The portal refresh reflects the provider-confirmed state; if it does not, keep the provider receipt/reference and contact support.
Eligible transfers
Move only an entitlement the portal says is transferable.
-
Check that Transfer is visible
Input: Look for Transfer subscription entitlement.
Expected result: The control appears only for an eligible support-managed or Stripe entitlement. Discord-native entitlements remain managed through Discord.
-
Choose destination and optional new owner
Input: Select a Destination server you can manage. Optionally enter a numeric billing-owner Discord ID; leave blank to keep the current owner.
Expected result: The portal validates both authorization and the destination before offering the final action.
-
Transfer and verify both servers
Input: Choose Transfer entitlement and confirm, then refresh the source and destination billing pages.
Expected result: Eligible access moves to the destination. If either view is ambiguous, stop and submit the returned reference to support.
Invoices and receipts
Keep provider records with the server decision.
-
Read renewal and invoice history
Input: Review Next renewal and Recent invoices; choose Show all for older records.
Expected result: Invoice history is read-only and scoped to the selected billing context.
-
Open the available provider record
Input: Choose the hosted invoice, PDF, or receipt link when available.
Expected result: The provider document opens in a new tab. Save its identifier with your server’s billing records.
Cancel or downgrade
Read the consequence before confirming.
-
Open cancellation options
Input: Choose Cancel subscription and read every retention, provider, and downgrade option shown.
Expected result: The portal routes Stripe cancellation to its billing portal, support-managed access to its eligible local downgrade, and Discord-native access to Discord subscription settings.
-
Confirm the intended provider action
Input: Continue only in the matching source. Do not treat closing a modal or removing the bot as subscription cancellation.
Expected result: The owning provider confirms the requested change and supplies any effective-date or retention terms.
-
Verify features and branding afterward
Input: Return to Plan & billing and inspect entitlements. If custom branding is no longer active, also review Appearance.
Expected result: The portal clearly shows effective access. Discord-visible branding follows the active entitlement and saved/default profile behavior shown by the portal.
Cancellation is not app removal: Removing Time Capsule from Discord does not substitute for cancelling with Stripe or Discord. Cancelling a plan does not itself remove the app from the server.
Billing support
Send the source and reference, not payment details.
-
Collect safe context
Input: Record the selected server, Access source, product, provider invoice/receipt ID, UTC time, and the portal support/correlation reference when visible.
Expected result: Support can trace the case without card numbers, credentials, or full payment documents in public chat.
-
Open the portal form
Input: Choose Need help? → Contact support → Plan or billing, then provide the safe context.
Expected result: A successful submission returns a support code. Keep it with the provider record.
